Overriding a citation style setting

Do you need to override a default citation format to insert a page number or suppress an author's name, e.g., in the APA style? Use the following steps to override an in-text citation default setting:

  1. While your manuscript and Write-n-Cite are open, place your cursor within the in-text citation.
  2. Click the edit option for your citation in Write-n-Cite.
  3. Click the box "Suppress author" to override the automatic insertion of the author's name.
  4. To add a required page number, type the page number in the "Add Text" box.
